Hello Support

When Host Windows Server with NCPA Agent is undergoing 100% CPU usage
The Nagios XI Controller didn't email alert until the host went under 100%

So the systems didnt alert for three hours util there were resources available on the host target server

Is there a way in NagiosXI to alert in this case?

Please find the attached screenshots of the high CPU and the services that were monitored that didn't alert

Thanks
Insurity

Hello @imadc,
The Nagios XI Controller didn't email alert until the host went under 100%
This is mostly likely due to a configurations setting, so let's check a few things to try and determine the cause.

1. What version of Nagios XI are you currently using?

2. Can you provide a notification report ( Go to Reports > Notifications > .. and select host and period in questions. According to the graph below, the CPU went 100% from 3:00 am to 6:30 am on 3/4. Also a state history report of this service for the same period would be helpful (select both state types).

3. Can your verify the notification options for this service. Sounds like you received the recovery notification but not the critical notification.

Also, a system profile is very helpful for us when troubleshooting.

To send us your system profile.
Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button and either PM the profile or upload to a cloud storage service and share a link.

Thanks.
