Me again! - This time an FYI on Backups

Post by bomahony »

You guys are hearing a lot from me :P

Just to let you know, that if you are using an NFS share with nfsnobody:nfsnobody permissions, with the nagios user in the nfsnobody group, the "Test Permission" button returns with:

Code: Select all

The directory is likely not writeable by user 'nagios' or group 'nagios' - check permissions.
The backup actually works, so I just thought I would let you know.

You can close this off too

Hi @bomahony,
You guys are hearing a lot from me :P
No problem, we appreciate your feedback! Right now, the test permissions script checks to see if the directory exist and if it is writable by
nagios user.
