centos-root is huge

running log server for half year and the size of centos-root is 4.5TB now

how to archive / tar log over 3months old so I can save up harddisk space for new coming log files?

Hello, @cdcsysadmin. I'd start with setting up a remote repository on a network drive. Then configuring Maintenace Settings in the Log Server to delete indexes after a certain amount of days. These articles should help you set everything up:
