MariaDB version

Greetings all,

Looking at doing the offloading procedure of the NAGIOSXI server to a remote MariaDB server are there any prerequisites to consider?
We are looking to use MariaDB version 10.3.10 on a RHEL 7.4 VM. Is it recommended that this VM be dedicated for use only as a remote sever to NAGIOSXI or can it have other functions within our system as well?

Thanks :)

this show be fine but there is one thing you will need to adjust with this version of Mariadb outlined in this article

We always recommend using it just for Nagios XI but that is because the reason to offload the database is usually for performance reasons and it would negate the benefit of the server was loaded with other items causing any slowdown in saving or retrieving the data.
