Hi,

This is periodically happening where we apply config and the engine will no longer start. seems that the nagios.cfg file keeps having the lock file location changed.

As of right now I tried getting is back online per this topic I had opened. Unfortunately it is mot helping this time.

https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 16&t=51271

I have tried a full restore from a scheduled nagios backup but still having the error.

[root@nagiosxi ~]# systemctl status nagios.service
● nagios.service - LSB: Starts and stops the Nagios monitoring server
Loaded: loaded (/etc/rc.d/init.d/nagios; bad; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: failed (Result: signal) since Thu 2019-03-28 08:57:12 EDT; 3min 11s ago
Docs: man:systemd-sysv-generator(8)
Process: 28933 ExecStop=/etc/rc.d/init.d/nagios stop (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
Process: 28839 ExecStart=/etc/rc.d/init.d/nagios start (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
Main PID: 28869 (code=killed, signal=ABRT)
CGroup: /system.slice/nagios.service

seems the root cause is mod_gearman

you can lock this.
