I have defined a service called Uptime, but when i see the configuration for this service it is not showing the Contact group that is updated in the definition.

Please refer to the attachments for all the details.
1) Explain
2) Host Configuration
3) Service Configuration

can anyone look into it?

I see the contact group LinuxServers is assigned to the host, which looks like what you showed in the screenshot.

You do not have any different contact groups defined for the service.

If we refer to the implied inheritance, then same contact group should be assigned to the Service which is applied to the Host.

I want to assign the same contact group applied on the service which is applied on the Host.

Also if you refer to the screenshot, on the service there is a contact assigned. Which i nowhere defined. Howcome it is taking that contact? You can refer to all the definitions in the text file.

The contact could be getting pulled in from the generic-service template, which you did not post

It is 2nd in the text document.
