Hi,

Does anyone know if XI can monitor Windows Server 2019 using NSClient ++ (0-4-4-23)?

Regards,
Andy

NSClient++ is not developed or maintained by us (Nagios). Unfortunately, we do not have a Windows Server 2019 to test it in-house.

Having said that, this is what I found on the NSClient++ website:
Windows (NSclient++ tends to work on most versions of Windows)
https://nsclient.org/nsclient/

@RyanMule, I don't know how this would help @andyb4u... We are talking here about Windows Server 2019 and NSClient++ 0-4-4-23...

Hi,

Thanks for your responses.

Apologies, I do know that the NSClient is not a Nagios product. I thought I'd try and post here because I don't seem to get any responses on the NSClient support forums.

The reason we use NSClient ++ (0-4-4-23) is because that is the client listed on the Windows Server configuration wizard and we took that to mean that is the only version certified to work with XI. Are we incorrect in thinking that?

You can monitor Windows servers many different ways - NSClient++ is not your only option. You could use WMI and SNMP, but I would recommend NCPA. It's our own agent, which would be better supported than NSClient++. Read more about NCPA here:
