Question on NNA

Hi,
we're thinking of adding NNA to our license to replace What's up Gold and our head of Network Services asked this question, and I could not find an answer

"WUG pings devices in AWS to keep tunnels up--will need to do the same—is this possible"

Does NNA do the same?

Thank you in advance
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

Currently, NNA doesn't create any sort of ICMP traffic or ssh-keep-alive, because it doesn't maintain active connections for anything. As it is, NNA is really used for analysis of NetFlow (and similar) data.

I'm not all that familiar with WUG, but looking at its product page, it seems to have some sort of direct integration with Azure/AWS for performance monitoring - I assume this is what your colleague is referring to. For our product solutions, active performance monitoring would be more the realm of Nagios XI than NNA.

Hope this helps, and let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Sebastian
