Hello,
I'm attempting to utilize the REST API function. Are there in prerequisites in Nagois XI that have to be configured prior to using the REST API function?

The API should be up and running automatically without any other necessary steps. You can find more information and examples of using the API by logging into XI and then going to Help > REST API Docs.
