NagiosXI executes a PS-script on the host on WARN/CRIT-Event

Post by nagchef »

Hello guys,

is this possible:
When a service-check result is WARNING or CRITICAL, then Nagios XI should automatically start a powershell-script (maybe through NCPA Agent) on the host, where the problem occurs, to solve the problem.
(the PS-script contains a command to restart an windows service)

In the best case is the problem solved and i don't need to do it manual.

Thank you!

Hello, @nagchef. That is possible with the help of event handlers. Please take a look at this article first:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ios-XI.pdf

And then check the section called "Event Handler Script Use Case Example".
