Unable to apply config in Nagios Log Server

Hello,

I'm having trouble applying the NLS config after adding a new input. I looked at this thread here (https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 0&start=10), as my problem is similar, however that solution is not my solution. :)

I've confirmed that the nagios password is not expired, and crond is running. I also upgraded to the latest and greatest NLS version, and both elasticsearch and logstash have been restarted. After doing these things, when I try to apply the config, I still get the message "The instance is likely offline, please check and try again" displayed 14 times on the screen. I've even tried rebooting to no avail.

I've gathered logs via "tar czf ~/nagioslogserverlogs.tar.gz /var/log/logstash/* /var/log/elasticsearch/*" if you'd like me to submit them to you.

Please advise.

Thank you

Does the config apply if you remove the new input?

Can you share the configuration of the new input?

Hello!

I've removed the input and tried to apply the config. Unfortunately I'm still getting this error: The apply command hasn't started yet. The instance may not be online or is unreachable

Please PM me a profile from the system. It can be gathered under Admin > System > System Status > Download System Profile or from the command line with:

/usr/local/nagioslogserver/scripts/profile.sh

This will create /tmp/system-profile.tar.gz.

Note that this file can be very large and may not be able to be PM'd. This is usually due to the logs in the logstash and/or elasticseach directories found in it. If it is too large, please open the profile, extract these directories/files and send them separately or host them elsewhere and provide me with a link.
