Recovery does not send notification

Hello,

I'm running 5.6.2, 64-bit VM, CentOS 7

in the Service State History page for a service,

I had a critical alert that was critical 3 times in a row and became a hard state, sending a notification.

About 8 minutes later I see a single normal event, its state is soft, 2 or 3, and did not send a recovery notification.

I can provide a PM screen print.

Have you verified that the User / Contact you are using has recoveries enabled in it's settings?
Take a look at this document to check those settings.

Is there a change you can post or PM me a System Profile so we can check it's settings?

To get your system profile. Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and upload it to the forum post.

We would also need to see the name of the Host and Service that did not generate the recovery email.

Hello,

I thought notification would not happen if there was no change to a "hard" state. The hard critical state goes to soft OK, but the OK state never goes hard.

This is an old probe, it seems to have worked in the past.

I was just being thorough in my post and putting in all of the different things to do.

We would need to get the System Profile and the other information to continue on.

Hello,

I have verified the contact has the recovery ("OK") set for service notification. All looks good.

I have uploaded a profile, but I'm not sure it took.

I have uploaded a very recent screen print. You can see the "OK" state never made it to "hard".

We need to know which service (on which host) recovered, but notification was not sent. Snapshots would be helpful.

Also, as @tgriep suggested, we would need to review your profile. Make sure you that you include the nagios.log from the time the issue occurred.

Yes, I just did. Thank you! We will review the profile, and get back to you as soon as we find out what's causing the issue.

Update - we need to see nagios.log. Can you PM it to me? The one in the profile is empty. Please, upload both logs - from today and from yesterday. You can find the old log in the "/usr/local/nagios/var/archives" directory. Thanks!
