Alert not going into a HARD state

Hi,

We have one perticular alert which reamins in a SOFT state even after reaching it's max check attempts.
We've got some global event handler which execute when an alert goes into a HARD state but obviously they are not being triggered.

The check settings are below; I can't figure out why this is not reaching a HARD state.

Check interval: 10
Retry interval: 5
Max check attempts: 4

Hello @JGCG,

Which version of Nagios XI you currently using and specifically which version of Nagios Core is installed on your server.

You can check the which version of core is installed by running the following command:

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios –help
.. or just PM your system profile for us to review. Thanks.

To send us your system profile.
Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and share in a private message and then reply to this post to bring it up in the queue.

Hello @JGCG,

It looks like the profile did not get attached to the message. Can you re-send it?

Thanks.

Hello @JCGC,

You currently using Nagios Core 4.4.1. Can you upgrade to the latest version of Nagios XI ( Core 4.4.3 ), as it looks like your hitting a bug that has since been patched.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks @benjaminsmith I'll look to apply the latest fixes soon - the topic can be closed.
