Which version is the most steady one until now?

The last minor release, version 5.6.0, was released in March of this year and since then we've had a number of maintenance releases both to Nagios XI and Nagios Core. I would recommend installing the latest version 5.6.6. You can view the Nagios XI Changelog for specifics.
Also, with every purchase we offer 3 separate activation of XI licenses. One for production, one for testing, and one for high availability. We always recommend upgrading on a test server first before making changes to the production server.
