Switch interface is not collecting bandwidth data

Good morning,
I updated a switch configuration in Nagios XI to remove an switch port interface from monitoring, and added I switch port interface to monitor. The new interface was added successfully (status, bandwidth) using the Monitoring Wizard - Network Switch/Router Wizard.
The data collection file was not initially created, so I did a 'touch' command to create it. It does seem to be collecting any bandwidth data since I added it.
[root@trends mrtg]# pwd
/var/lib/mrtg
[root@trends mrtg]# ls -la sw29-2.vod.gsv.md.atlanticbb.net*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Apr 24 16:35 sw29-2.vod.gsv.md.atlanticbb.net_10109.rrd
This has worked with no issues in the past.
Thank you,
Mark Frew
