Ongoing alerting issue

Hello,

I'm going to refer to this thread: https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 16&t=55378. The issue described in the first post is still troubling us. A quick summary of what we're experiencing:

1. A Nagios account is set up with event handlers to handle CRITICAL alerts/host down. Only critical alerts should trigger the event handlers. The event handlers send a ticket to ServiceDesk, which then sends email out to our team.

2. The Nagios account has a user template which is also set to only send out alerts based on CRITICAL alerts/host down.

We should only see emails for CRIT alerts. However, instead, we're seeing WARNS as well as OKs. The previous fix alleviated some of this behavior, but not all of it. It feels like some setting is overriding the account/template settings, but we've not been able to figure out what it might be.

Is this possibly a bug?

Can you send the current profile.zip from Admin -> System Profile via PM along with the name of the notification handler and contact that is being used for this?

Thanks

Found the event_handler added to many host and service configs as well as attached as a notification handler for the contact.

Event handlers added to hosts/services are not limited by the notification settings for the contact.
