User prompted to reset password when using AD authentication

Running NagiosXI v5.5.11

The user account was imported from Active Directory. The user is able to authenticate into NagiosXI with their current AD username/password, but they are immediately prompted to reset their password. What account password are they resetting? What is the "current password" they're being prompted to enter in at the reset password prompt?

Within the "Edit User" settings, "Allow local login if auth server login fails" is unchecked. And there is no field to establish a password for the user.

With the "Allow local login if auth server login fails" unchecked, the password they are resetting is the AD password and the current password should be the one they used to login to the XI GUI.

They shouldn't be resetting their AD password via the Nagios interface. Especially since the the accounts I'm having issues with, the AD account password is not expired.

Login to the XI GUI as a local admin and go to the Admin > System Settings menu and click on the Passwords & Accounts TAB.
If the Password Requirements are enabled, disable them and see if the user is not prompted to change the password.
