Extra Notes Icon

Hi

We use the extra notes icon extensively in Nagios Core. (Red Folder) which appeared as an icon in the host/service status pages.

Have noticed that I can only get to the folder via "See this host/service in Nagios Core" via the advanced tab of the host/service (beige icon..)

Is there a way to get the icon to appear in a similar way as Nagios core in the Host/Service detail pages without drilling down into the advanced tab?

We are looking at adding Wiki style notes to these pages, I've seen some of this in testing already , in the future and building on this feature as new releases come out.

Based on that, are you able to say whether there'll be the ability to populate the notes/wiki via a template type scenario? ie provide common links/instructions etc to multiple hosts/services?

I don't think so. As these will be notes, not comments. The difference is notes are editable where comments are permanent. Imagine if such an item were edited, would it change for every host/service it applied to?

There already exists a comment system in Nagios Core, though I don't know if one can comment on a host or service "group". Comments would be a separate feature in NagiosXI.
