We are noticing strange issue on few servers where although Windows Counters exists, monitoring is still failing with error

Code: Select all

No data to return. Does the counter (counter name) exist?
Same monitoring is working on a different set of servers where the counter names are exactly same

Can you post the command definition that is being used? Also what version of Windows is this failing on?

I think it may be running into this:

https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/ncpa/pull/580

What version of the agent is installed?

NCP Agent version is 2.1.8.

Surprisingly same command is working on a server running 2.1.5.

Try installing 2.2.0. The bug in the github references https://github.com/NagiosEnterprises/ncpa/issues/564 where the problem didn't exist in 2.1.4 but did in 2.1.9.
