Hi Team,

We want to monitor the network devices like routers, switches, etc using Nagios. We are currently using Nagios XI and we have a license of Nagios XI Enterprise edition. The current version we are using is Nagios XI 5.6.6.

Please let us know what all network devices and respective parameters we can monitor using Nagios XI. I can also see few configuration wizards related to network monitoring, I am attaching the screen shot here. Please check and let us know if we can use those wizards to monitor the network devices.

Also, please provide us some standard documentation if available to work on the same.

The Generic Network Device wizard setups up a simple ping check to monitor a device. Literally anything that can respond to a ping can be monitored with this.

The Nagios Network Analyzer wizard is to integrate another of our products(https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios- ... -analyzer/) and can be ignored if you don't use this product.

Network Switch/Router will set up checks to monitor bandwidth and interfaces on a router or switch.

And the Printer is specific to HP network printers.

In addition to these, I would suggest looking at the SNMP and SNMP Walk wizards which can pull data via SNMP for any device that has SNMP enabled. And there are also plugins available for many network devices on the exchange: https://exchange.nagios.org/
