 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem

I've tried several fixes, and I'm wondering where to go from here. I'd like to update the OS. I thought about doing a yum reinstall \* but that would probably wipe out our main nagios server correct? Is there a way to back our nagios XI in case and restore?

Can you run the following commands, and show the output?

What is the version of Nagios XI that you are currently using? Is this a "source" install, "rpm" install or you are using one of our pre-build images?

Do you have XI running on a virtual machine or a physical server? If this is a VM, you can create a snapshot to be on the safe side.

Try removing the repo from "/etc/yum.repos.d" directory or disabling it. Then run:

Code: Select all

yum clean all
yum update
Were you able to update your system?

I got it, thanks for highlighting the salt repo. Someone had installed the cent os 7 minion on a 6.10 release. After removing and cleaning up, I was able to update it.
