Can nagios use SMI-S to monitor emc sans?
And if so, how does monitoring via SMI-S differ from monitoring with the emc plugin?

Honestly I don't have much experience with SMI-S, and I haven't seen any plugins created around it. We do have SMI SNMP MIBS pre-installed in Nagios XI
