Our XI instance is supposed to allow everybody in a particular AD group a minimum of read access to all monitors.
The problem I have is keeping users imported into XI updated.
This is a large group (>200) and there are constant new hires etc. that have to be manually added via the gui.

Is there some way to tell XI "sync with this AD group"?

Even getting gui to ignore duplicates would be useful as right now if 1 out of 14 people I choose to import is already in XI the entire import fails - and I have to go back to the selection screen and click the check box on those other 13 users again.

I've seen threads spanning a few years talking about something like this as a feature request but I can't see that it's ever been implemented.

Hopefully we'll see this soon as I've seen a bit of activity on our internal feature request, but in the meantime I'd recommend using the API to add a large number of new users. I've got a few post out here on it including https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... &hilit=API, but I would check the API documentation included with your XI install to get the commands specific to your machine. For the most part they should be the same version to version, but it's been a while since I've looked and don't know the XI version you're on.
