SMS vs email

Post by pspagnola »

Is it possible to setup some hosts to trigger SMS alerts and some to only trigger email alerts?

would I have to setup two accounts for each user to get this result?

There is no way to specify the type of notification on the host level, only the user, so yes, you would need to create different user accounts for these.

thank you.

follow up question:
I am using AD integration for user authentication.
if I create a user jdoe and a second user jdoe-mobile can I have them both use the same AD authentication by using "jdoe" in the domain username box?

Unfortunately that wouldn't be possible
