Is Nagios XI HA officially supported?

Hi,

We are currently in the process of rebuilding our Nagios XI nodes and looking at implementing high availability via DRDB replication as per this document. We would probably split the database off to a seperate VM as well.

We are wondering though if Nagios Enterprises themselves would support such a setup, or if we would be restricted to community support such as this if any issues were to crop up?

Thanks

Currently, we do not have HA has a feature within Nagios XI, so the short answer is that it's not officially supported. However, you might want to consider contacting Linbit as they do offer commercial setup and support services for integrating DRDB with XI.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Thanks for the quick response. Would splitting the database off to a seperate VM be supported if the XI node itself was to remain as a single node?

Hello,

Yes. You can offload the database. We have quite a few customers doing this to help increase performance in large installations. See the guide below for instructions.
