Alert for specific IP causing high bandwidth

Post by snapon_admin »

Is it possible to setup an alert with NNA (preferabely one that can be passed to Nagios XI) that will alert us which IP is sending/recieving a large amount of data during high bandiwidth utilization? Idealy this alert would be able to tell us if say, a specific conversation was utilizing a large amount of the bandiwdth on a particular circuit and give us the source and destination IPs of said conversation.

It doesn't look like you can get this information in an an alert but you could set up an alert to monitor the bandwidth of a network. Once you get alerted to this you can log into nna and run one of the 'top 5 talkers' reports.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.
