I know this has been covered a few times already in the forums, but I want to verify a few things:

Was the method above replaced with object API method? Does the method above depend upon the depreciated backend api?

I cannot get that previous solution to work for me using latest version of Nagios XI 5.6.12

Yes, the method you point out uses the old ticket system which is disabled in new versions. You can enable it again following the steps of the first page of https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... -Check.pdf.
