NRDP Starting Point?

Hello world! I got my awesome Nagios XI server up and running and doing awesome stuff. I started to configure some passive checks and, of course I'm following the documentation and it says "of course you set up your NRDP stuff correctly so go do the other cool NRDP set steps." (super friendly documentation, actually!!!)

what document should i use to verify my nrdp settings are correct / set up my nrdp stuff?

(sorry for the "stuff" and "awesome" it's a Very Busy Day)
