STOP nagios, will be in halt position, no alert/notification

Dear Expert

Some time we have short period Network Maintenance, Yes, Notification will not trigger but showing devices down on Home , Operations Center, which is not really (all due to router/switch activity).

I think its better Stop Nagios Services "service nagios stop" server will be in HALT condition and will not trigger any alert/notification.........what is your advice?

Are these periods of network maintenance planned? If so, it sounds like a good use case for our Scheduled Downtime feature.
