Hi,
I'm finding a way to integrate PagerDuty to Nagios Log Server.
I can find the document here https://www.pagerduty.com/docs/guides/n ... ion-guide/ but I'm not sure if Nagios Log Server includes Nagios Core ?
Let's say if our company only buys Nagios Log Server, then can I follow that link to integrate PagerDuty to Nagios Log Server ?

Nagios Core is completely free and there is no need to buy NLS if you want to integrate Core with PagerDuty.

I'm not aware of any documentation for integrating NLS with PagerDuty, but one could write a custom script that NLS can execute with alerts - page 12 of https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... Server.pdf.

The situation here is my company wants to buy Nagios Log Server to manage the logs and send alerts via email.
However, email is not enough.
The manager wants me to find a way to integrate PagerDuty with the Nagios Log Server so that it can send SMS or call when there is critical alerts.

There isn't currently a way to integrate NLS directly with PagerDuty but what you could do is spin up a free version of XI and integrate it both with NLS and PagerDuty. XI is free as long as the number of hosts it monitors isn't more than 7 and the total number of checks is under 100.

In a setup like this you would configure NLS with queries that XI can then execute and then send via PagerDuty based on the results.

Note that you could also use Core(it has no host/service limitation) but XI makes it much easier to integrate things with the wizard and GUI.

To monitor the devices, we are using PRTG.
So is it possible to set up a free Nagios XI ?

Yes, in this case XI will only be monitoring the NLS machine.
