Hello all, i have for some time been using Nagios 3 with various degrees of success, i am still tryingto monitor an HP raid array 'remotely' and as yet have not found a way to do this, i have however found many tutorials online though every single one of them has proven to be impossible to implement as they allways lack neccesary detail...could someone perhaps indulge me with a 'Good' informative tut on how to go about this.....i would be very gratefull for any help offered...

Hi,
maybe this plugin is useful to you: http://labs.consol.de/lang/en/nagios/check_hpasm/
It was originally written to monitor Proliant servers, but (as some hp storage systems use the same snmp mibs for disk/raid) chances are good that you can monitor your raid with it.

p.s. check_hpasm --hostname <ip of the external raid> --community <snmp community>
