Hi team,

Can you please advise us UI login issue on Nagios LS: a Cluster and a Node.

You can find error message in attachment field (Invalid username or password). Also be informed that I am still able to access over SSH.

Do I need to provide any additional logs, please reply as well as.

Have you tried the "Forgot your password?" link? That may be the easiest solution.

If you are not able to do it from the graphic interface for some reason, you can run the reset password script provided in /usr/local/nagioslogserver/scripts.

Code: Select all

/usr/local/nagioslogserver/scripts/reset_nagiosadmin_password.sh --password newpassword
LOG SERVER PASSWORD

Hi.

Thanks for response.

I am not supposing to reset password, as long as this is LDAP account (not local Nagios admin account). Furthermore, I realize that reboot server did the trick, but just only able to login on some first minutes on boot time. Keep it for 1 hours, 2 hours - issue still the same. Looks cranky for me!

That is very odd... I can not think of any definitive reason why Log Server authentication would change after a couple hours like that. However, the following are a couple things you could check to see if they are causing this problem.

If you have a hostname set up, it could be related to the DNS. Is your Log Server instance running on Red Hat or CentOS? If so, it may be worthwhile to double check your /etc/resolv.conf file before and after it stops working to see if anything has changed.
Be aware that the /etc/resolv.conf file can be automatically overwritten by the networking stack in RHEL/ CentOS. Please consult the RHEL / CentOS documentation for more information on correctly configuring the DNS servers for Linux.

Do you have SSL configured for multiple LDAP servers? If so, you will want to make sure that all of them (and their SSL certs if they're self-signed) have been added.
