Service flapping issues

We have been working with Nagios XI for over three years so this is the first time for a support call.
After last upgrade to Nagios 5.6.14, we noticed two things wrong. Some services which were remove along time ago would show up. Tracking it down has been difficult. FIrst some services which are custom would show up then disappear. Second, these ghost services could be very difficult to remove.
What would cause such an event like this. Keep in mind this box has been updated for many years. Its running RHEL 78.
Thanks

Hey itunixops!
Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you have been able to go so long without problems.
You may be encountering a bug that was introduced in
5.7.1. Luckily, there is already a fix available in
5.7.2.
Fixed NDO issue where renaming hosts and services with uppercase/lowercase letters caused inconsistencies
NAGIOS XI CHANGE LOG
Can you please update that system and let us know if the issue persists?
It never hurts to send ( PM ) us a profile either! We can find lots of information about your system in there. You can download the profile by navigating to
Admin > System Profile under
System Config on the left pane > and clicking the
Download Profile button on that page.

Here is a copy of our system profile. We also have been noticing another problem. When our service flaps or has an alert it generates it and says its it starts and generates a message indicates its been going on for four hours.

Our current version of this OS is RHEL 7.4. With the amount of changes before should we consider upgrading to RHEL 7.7 or higher before deploying nagios XI 5.7.2?

I believe that Nagios XI 5.7.2 will work on RHEL 7.4 or 7.7. We have not heard of any compatibility issues related to either of those versions.
You get a message saying the service has been flapping for hours? Can you please show me the message?
Thankyou for providing the profile. I will look to see if I can find any discernible cause of the issue.

One of the problems we see on our 3 versions of nagios is this error. A message will say its in error but the time stamp is all wrong. The errors we see start a 4hour hours when mostly they suppose to start at 0/ I have a picture but it wont let me post

It looks like your time zone might not be set properly.
Date/Time
PHP Timezone: Not set
PHP Time: Mon, 10 Aug 2020 13:23:01 +0000
System Time: Mon, 10 Aug 2020 09:23:01 -0400
Please navigate to the
Admin section of
XI with the top bar > then click
System Settings under
System Config on the left pane > and select the correct entry for
Timezone: under
Timezone Settings on that page.
Changing The XI System Time
After you have done that, please provide me with another profile so that I can verify that the information has proliferated throughout your system correctly.

Great! It looks like the time zone has successfully populated in your system profile. That should solve the timing issue.
Are the deleted services still appearing? I believe that was a bug introduced by 5.7.1, that will be fixed once you upgrade to 5.7.2.
Please let me know if I can provide any more help, or if I should mark this thread resolved and lock it for editing.
