Nagios Core Service check

Hello,
We have Sophos installed on the servers so we put a service check on SavService.exe which has been working fine up until 2 days ago, the service is running but Nagios is showing it as 'not running'. The alert goes if you restart the Sophos service, but then it comes back a short time later even though the service is still running.
Whats even more weird is that its only effecting 5 servers, but we have around 100 with this exact same service check.
Does anyone know whats best to look at?
