Hello all,

I had built a bunch of services on a Nagios XI server A (hostname: nagios-b), and was too lazy to build them again on our second server B (hostname: nagios-p). I copied the service .cfg file from A to B, and imported it using the import config file option and ticking the "overwrite database" box.

The hostname/service .cfg is GMV-OSS-RC-17B-TPOSSADM01.

The services were added, but when I search for the hostname on server B, it won't show up unless I do it in ALL CAPS.

I know the search box isn't case-sensitive, but I suspect I've corrupted something perhaps in the database?

This is how the search *should* work, and does work on server A. You start typing a search string, then the results appear in a dropdown list. When I search for the same string on server B, it looks like this: Now, when I search for the same string on server B in upper-case, it works. Any ideas? I've repaired the databases, changed something then clicked on Apply Config.

Nagios XI version 5.7.2 on both servers

This was resolved in 5.7.3

And regarding the way I copied the service .cfg file over and did an import. Is that a bad practice?

I believe it was introduced in 5.7.0

I don't see anything wrong with how you imported them
