Nagios XI Service Status Information Reporting

Hello,

I am trying to find a way to generate a daily report of service information for specific hosts.
An example for this is reporting on current utilization of RAM, CPU, Disk Space, etc, not specifically whether the service is Ok or in an alarmed state.

Is this something that can be done with Nagios XI, or would this be more a homebrew situation with the Nagios XI API?

Thanks!

Hi pcappell,

Thanks for contacting Nagios Support.

Most of the reports in Nagios XI are focused on state history, availability, and notifications. However, have you looked at the Metrics component in Nagiso XI, go to Home > Details > Metrics, it contains graphs and summaries of metrics like CPU/RAM from hosts and services. You can schedule those pages if you click on the hamburger menu in the upper right near your username. The report will use the default time period when those pages are loaded.

Let me know if that would work for you.

Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

I ran into an issue with the data that we were tracking populating Metrics, and was unable to find a resolution for that issue.

As an alternative, I ended up creating a dashboard with the graphs I needed and scheduled that through the hamburger menu. I believe this will ultimately achieve what we are looking to do.

Best,
Paul

Appreciate the update and happy to hear you were able to find a solution.
