Hi Team,

Im seeing some of the SNMP Passive Monitors showing "Trap is sent when the data logging interval time is reached............" entries in Status Information . Any details on what this is about and why we are seeing it ?

The status information field will typically show you information that the sending device provides. The first place I would look is at documentation for the device to see what a message like this means.

I believe this is not Device Trap. Something internal to Nagios ?

I wasn't able to find this wording in the source code.

Are you receiving frequent updates to this? Does the message change at all?

Ok . It keeps changing , Real Traps come in and then this message also shows up.

Yes, that information is taken from the DESC section of the trap, if you look at the defined traps in

Code: Select all

/etc/snmp/snmptt.conf
or if managed through Admin > SNMP Trap Interface go to the Defined Traps tab and edit one of the traps you will see the Service Output section where it will prepend the information.
