Hi Team,
I want to know how the Hardware monitoring is done in the NagiosXI. Is there a capability? Is there a procedure for the same?

Hi,
Welcome to the Nagios Customer Forum. That really depends on the hardware you'd like to run checks against, but typically this is achieved using SNMP to query specific metrics and then setup alert/notification thresholds on those metrics.
Otherwise, you may be able to pull data from an API using a plugin written for the device.
Let us know what hardware you'd like and I can make a few suggestions.
Regards,
Benjamin

Hi,
For network devices such as switches and routers. Nagios XI has a configuration wizard for that. Just got to
Configure > Start Monitoring Now and select the
Network Tab. Under this tab, you'll also find the SNMP wizards in XI that can be used for hardware monitoring.

For storage and backup devices, I would start by browsing the
Nagios Exchange for a hardware-specific plugin. Once you find a plugin to test out, take a look at the instructions in the following guide.

Let us know if you have more questions.
