table nagios_notifications is marked as crashed after running 'mysqlcheck -f -uroot -p<password> --all-databases' (without quotes). Should it be fixed by running 'mysqlcheck -r -f -uroot -p<password> --tables'? Does this error also make system backup failed with the following error message in /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/components/scheduledbackups.log?

That's correct. If there's a bad table it's going to cause the backup_xi.sh to fail and exit, so it doesn't try to restore a corrupted archive. Try running the back repair script, and let me know if that is successful. Run the following as root from the terminal. --Benjamin

backup script run successful after corrupted table has been fixed. Suggest to log more informative message in /usr/local/nagiosxi/var/components/scheduledbackups.log instead of the following message. It's not a accurate or informative message to the root cause.

I've submitted a feature request for them to add more logging details:
Let's check your DB tables again (if they say NULL they are crashed):
- NOTE: You may need to adjust the -h 127.0.0.1, the -uroot, and -pnagiosxi in the command if your DB is offloaded to another server and/or you've changed the root mysql password

Service mariadb is not found. mysqld is running. Thus "systemctl restart mariadb" should be replaced by "systemctl restart mysqld"?

Sorry about that, the default database ( mysqld / MariaDB ) can vary depending on which Linux distribution you have installed. My Cent7 is using mariadb. It looks like the repair was successful this time, is that correct?

Are you able to successfully run a backup job?
