HI,
I got a some questions about Nagios XI server migration. I got this hot potato in my hand, I don't know where to start. We are cloning are server(VM) and we moved it to a new vcenter. This change will make us change the ip adress. So, we will have change our dns records. We already have our licence, but can it affect our licence to change our adress ip? I would like to know what kind of side effect or configuration I might need to change/look after the migration.

Thanks for you help,

Best regards,

Hi

Welcome to the Customer Forum! The migration process is pretty easy, just remember to migrate between the same versions of XI. If the IP address has changed, just update the settings in Nagios XI. Instructions for this process are on page 13 of the following guide.

Backing Up And Restoring Your Nagios XI System

Also, we provide 3 activations with your license, production, test, and backup, so you can safely test out the new server before making any changes.

If you have further questions about your license and the number of activations left, feel free to connect with your Customer Success Manager by emailing [email protected]
