There're several DB2 instances hosted on AIX servers. What're prerequisites need to enable DB2 monitoring on AIX as client? Is agent / plugin required to install on AIX servers? Current version of DB2 and AIX is shown below. We want to monitor the following metrics of DB2 DB:

DB2: 11.x
AIX: 7.1 (powerpc)
Nagios XI: 5.4.13
Nagios Core: 4.2.4

1. Long running queries ( queries running > 60 sec)
2. Top Queries consuming high in resources and slow in nature.
3. Blocking session to be monitor (if block is not release in few seconds)
4. Consistent increase of locks require to be monitor and alerted.
5. Table/Index fragmentation

Hi,

The best option for DB2 monitoring would be one of the community plugins found on the Nagios Exchange.

For step by step instructions on downloading and configuring a plugin in Nagios Xi, take a look at the following guide.
