Hi Team,

We are looking for a plugin to monitor the bitrate and streaming health for live video streaming website in Nagiosxi.

Could you please help us.

For eg:

We have a live streaming website (https://xx/xx_live/xx/playlist.m8), need to find the parameters such as bitrate and streaming health.

Nagios is able to monitor anything as long as there is a plugin for it. I usually recommend searching the exchange(exchange.nagios.com) as well as typing keywords + Nagios into your favorite search engine to find plugins that others have written to work with Nagios.

I'm not sure how you would measure something like this off the top of my head, but perhaps you have a method of getting this information already and the above tips will help find something or you can provide some more details on the environment that will help us provide guidance.

If a plugin doesn't already exist then there is always the opportunity to create one. General guidelines exist at https://nagios-plugins.org/doc/guidelines.html. There are also a few ways of integrating a plugin with Nagios and below are links documenting some common ways.
