Passive Monitoring not working as expected

Hi All
We are using nagios core ,nrdp,ncpa client for passive monitoring .But for some reason check Type is coming as Active for one particular server while adding to monitoring and hence all service is showing as critical state.
Rest all servers type is coming as Passive and hence no issues.
Any suggestions please .
