I am running NagiosXI server ... now I am in the process of rebuilding a backup server as a redundancy for my main nagios server.
Please point me out for the steps, also do I need to put my authorization code on the backup server, the backup server will be a VM with different IP than the main one.

Please provide me with detailed steps.

Shouldn't be any problems, I looked up your account and you have only used 1 activation. Your Nagios XI license allows for three separate activations, production, test, and backup. We always encourage users to maintain a test system as well to try out upgrades or any changes the could impact the production system.
