There were no results in the time period specified

Post by jbowden »

Flows are sourcing from a VMWare VeloCloud SDWAN device. Can see the graphical validation of incoming traffic, however, there is no data to report.

Flows from other devices (Cisco 4500x) are working correctly and can display historical data.

How to get visibility into the data issue?

This is usually caused by an incorrect time in the sending device's flow data. Can you confirm the time on the sending machine?

If that doesn't help resolve the problem, please provide a copy of a few of the latest nfcapd files from the device. They can be found on the NNA's file system under /usr/local/nagiosna/var/<device>flows/. Please send them to me in a private message.

Time on the routers is validated - sent the logs via pm
also, the settings on the VeloClouds are as follows:
flow stats = 60
flowlink stats = 60
segment table = 300
application table = 300
interface table = 300
link table = 300
tunnel stats = 60

The files didn't make it through. How large are they? Try zipping them first and if needed you can split them:

Code: Select all

split -b 5000000 filename filename- -d
The above command will split a file into 5MB segments and save them to files with the naming convention filename-nn.

Thanks for the update. I believe I've been able to reproduce with the data provided and am currently looking into it, but let me know how the memory change goes.

No change after adjusting the memory setting - also have a case open with VMWare to see if the have anyone else is experiencing issues using the NNA.

I'd like to take a closer look at this over a remote if possible. Please open a ticket and reference this forum post and we can get the ball rolling on that.
