Migrating NagiosXI install

I have a nagiosxi 5.6.7 (redhat 7) , and want to upgrade to nagiosxi 5.8.1 (redhat 8)
Sadly I can't just "install" 5.6.7 on redhat 8 and upgrade.
Is there a way to pull over the config files and feed them into CCM somehow?
I've done simple things like turn on and off alerting by updating CCM db so some functionality is there.

I have managed to import ym 5.6.7 configs into 5.8.1 server
however, all the hosts and checks are in "applied" status not active
they do not show up in the nagios care/ home page.
please advise.

Hi,
The backup and restore scripts will only work between the same versions for Nagios XI. You can either upgrade the RHEL 7 system to 5.8.1 and then migrate to RHEL 8 or vice versa. You can download previous versions on XI on the following page:
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... rsions.php
The following document has all steps required to migrate between operating systems.
Backing Up And Restoring Your Nagios XI System
The best route would be to re-run the backup and restore script since it will migrate everything over (user accounts, performance data, check history). Let me know if that's an option here.
Best Regards,
Benjamin

not currently an option for me.
the configs seem to work, just an issue of it not reflecting in the status page, only CCm

Hi
@matson-itops,
Appreciate the update and glad to hear downgrading did resolve the issue for you.
