Integration with 3trd party for alerting

Hello everyone,
Is there a way I could trigger a notification to another box upon receiving a specific alert? Say nagios xi receives a snmp trap about a system being down. Anyway Nagios could send a pop up alert to a different system? So far I have only seen something about sending a snmp trap to another system.
