Good morning Support,
Is the any ability with the Service Now integration to do either of the following.
1. Validate the Nagios Hosts with CMDB items
2. Set the Warning Alerts to create Incidents at 1 level below the CMDB Priority Level. ie if the Device is a P2 critical device in the CMDB then the Warning Alerts create a P3 Incident.
3. Update an existing incident with the new alert status's, if OK set it to "Hold"
We currently have a script using the rest-api on the nagios servers which create the incidents, or update the open incidents via the event triggers (points 2 and 3).
Thank you for your assistance
Have a good day
Regards
William Bright

Re: Service Now Integration to populate the CMDB
Hi William,
Some good questions here. I would recommend reaching out to Service Now for additional clarification. It may be possible to update existing incidents when the alert status changes. Currently, I don't believe it's possible to validate with the CMDB or adjust the incidents based on the CMDB priority.
Best Regards,
Benjamin
