NCPA Wizard connection resets

When trying to run the NCPA wizard it displays a Connection Reset screen after hitting next. I have made sure that it is the latest version. This issue happens when trying to configure windows or Linux servers. I can add the ncpa host manually in the Manage deployed Agents gui. it can talk to the agent (shows available under agent status) but when I run the wizard to configure the agent, the wizard sees detects everything but when I hit next to continue/save it goes to a Connection Reset screen.

We have Nagiosxi deployed and have been using nsclient++ for windows and nrpe for linux. We are wanting to go to NCPA but the wizard does not work and not really wanting to manually do all the hosts.

Please provide us with a System Profile so we can investigate further.

To send us your system profile.
Login to the Nagios XI GUI using a web browser.
Click the "Admin" > "System Profile" Menu
Click the "Download Profile" button
Save the profile.zip file and share this a private message and then reply to this post to bring it up in the queue.

Hi,

Also, are you using a proxy server in your environment? I would also try clearing the browser cache and/or test from another browser and let us know if you get the same results.

(on day 1 of Trial right now)

Having the same issue with newest Nagios XI build on Ubuntu 20.04.2.

Once I hit next, it goes connection reset. Nothing in other_vhosts_access.log when this happens. No proxy other than being VPN'd into work (thanks covid). Everything else so far seems to work fine.

Generally when I see this in the NCPA wizard it's usually a FW/web gateway/proxy/IPS device/security software preventing access to it, especially if you don't see it in the access logs. That means it's not even making it to httpd so likely blocked in-between.

Okay so it is, just hard to find in all of the refreshing garbage:

I'm getting connection reset on both Chrome and Firefox.

Go to Admin > Manage Config Wizards and click the Check for Updates button, if there are any updates for NCPA, please install it then try it again.

I just labbed this up with U20 with XI 5.8.3 and I'm unable to replicate the issue.
