Need to delete specific logs from our saved indexes

We need help to figure out a way to delete a specific type of logs from the saved indexes. They're being excluded from the snapshot backups, but they are still saved in the indexes which we hold onto for 2 years. The log type is not something we need to keep long term, hence why they are excluded from the snapshots.
